Nay a nordic nerd nor a nemesis to the novus-ordum; I merely am a noble nexus to a nomadic nous;
and I nominate no claim to be normal, neither notably nonpareil.

Nevertheless, notwithstanding the noxious nod of the nocturnal noir, my notions shall remain nubile;
and you can call me "N".

I’ve found this post on the page of an Apple fanboy, and obviously was not a well-thought post; the “gripes” mentioned here as, simply put, silly; so I thought I’d reblog it with some due explanations.
Firstly, the notification-bar is draggable - anyone who has used an Android knows that, dragging the bar downwards opens up a full notifications panel. The panel shows detailed informations (and actions) about each icon shown on the bar - there goes the first gripe. The exclamation mark is meant to tell you something is wrong - drag it down, and it will tell you that, for instance, a message sending has been failed.
The second gripe: The USB icon is not meant to tell you anything; instead, it’s meant to give you options to mount and unmount the phone as a mass-storage drive on your computer (which coincidentally is a very important feature that the iPhone lacks.)
About the third gripe mentioned; let me ask the author this - “do you really think that is a gripe, and the vibrate icon unecessary? You should be kidding me!”The vibrate icon is shown when the phone is in “vibrate-only” more, ie, the ringers are silenced. Isn’t it important to notify the user that the silent mode is on, so that he remembers to turn the ringers back on when it’s time?
